Now you’ll have to work with the base to remove the handle off. On the other hand, a cartridge has 2 flat edges. To replace a shower faucet handle, start by turning off water to the shower.
Remove this screw and you should be able to pull it off revealing the end of the shower cartridge. Shower faucet handles costs between $20 and $100. Slide in the new handle, put the screw back and turn the water back on.
